The Ad Import plug-in works with Adobe InDesign. 

For the QuarkXPress user, our Find File Links XTension (which we affectionately call FiFi XT) quickly restores file path information for graphic and ad files so that lost file links can be updated. No more searching through volumes and folders to find out where that graphic went! Just give FiFi XT a starting point on your network, and it automatically finds each graphic and attaches the correct file path.

For Page Director product users, FiFi XT finds ad files after the ad layout has been opened in QuarkXPress, eliminating the need to manually link all remaining empty ad boxes to their appropriate files.

FiFi is available for QuarkXPress versions 6.5 through 8.1.

Features

• Automatically update all picture boxes in your layout.
• Easily replace low-resolution image files with high-resolution images.
• Select a folder and let FiFi do the rest. FiFi will search directories and sub-directories for missing images.
• See a list of missing or modified ads using FiFi's File Links palette to filter images by status.
• Double-click an ad in the File Links palette to bring up the layout page with the ad image selected.
• Track image creation vs. modification dates.
• Use find, link and check options to  control image fitting and to delete info boxes on all the found, linked and checked ads selected.
• Append text to the ALS file path during finding, linking and checking by using the File Extension text-entry field on the File Links palette.

Features

• See where the file path breaks down. The server may not be mounted or the file may not be on the network.
• Search numerous directories and folders to find the digital files.
• Perform single and multiple selections in the list, both contiguous and non-contiguous.
• Navigate to a file and create the link, if needed, and the image is imported with a new file path.
• Keep track of creation vs. modification dates.
• During finding, linking and importing, force-fit to resize the image to match the box, center the image in the box at its 100% size, or maintain previous settings.
• Enter a file suffix, such as ".eps" to be appended to the actual file path during searches.
• For MEI advertising layout users, suppress printout or delete the ad info boxes once you update links and import files.

Split up the pages of your layout document with Split & Folio and let everybody get to work.

Split & Folio preserves the information of the original QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign document while letting you deal out single pages or page ranges. Just open the original and click the Split & Folio “Save as Pages” option under the File menu. You’ll be prompted enter the page range, and whether to save a document for each page or a single document with multiple pages. The new documents retain the properties of the original, including attributes inherited from ALS, CLS, AdForce or ClassForce, such as ads, page labels. folios and file links.

Split & Folio is available for QuarkXPress versions 6.5 through 8 and InDesign CS2 through CS4.
